Grease are the result of dispersing a thicknening agent (calcium, lithium, ect.) in a liquid lubricant(Mineral Oil, Polyalphaolefin (PAO), Ester, etc).
Why use Grease ?
- Doesn't leak out
- Avoids corrosive contaminants to enter
- Can incorporate solids such as graphite, moly, PTFE, etc. in suspension
- Has a much longer service life than liquid lubrication
